Siloed clients prevented learning
Tempo’s hundred of clients were stored in separate databases across multiple shards, preventing the identification of patterns and the implementation of a valuable machine learning solution. Further, Tempo’s plugins had access to valuable user behavior, but were isolated from their core database.
An extensible data lake brought the pieces together
Kickdrum developed an API gateway and data pipeline to ingest data from a variety of sources and process into a Snowflake data warehouse for transformation and analysis. This approach allowed Tempo to bring core database updates as well as endpoint behavioral events into a single location, with the ability to easily add more data from subsequent products and acquisitions.
