RESULTS
Methodical migration to consolidate databases
Kickdrum mapped and migrated data from seven disparate databases into a single, consolidated data source using AWS Glue. To ensure specific steps could be re-run when anomalies were detected, Kickdrum built a workflow leveraging Lambdas and DynamoDB to track and correct migration state.
Scalable data warehouse for better decision making
Kickdrum designed a scalable star schema data warehouse to support multiple customers simultaneously. This enables OEC and its customer to interrogate and report on data from a single source of truth, improving business intelligence and accelerating data modeling.
Reducing waste and maintenance costs
Kickdrum consolidated seven production applications and databases into a single, less expensive cloud instance. Kickdrum also helped OEC reduce operational costs by implementing a mechanism to shutdown non-production environments outside of working hours.
